Spensor and Jessilyn work with Student Mobilization, a collegiate ministry spread across the central US. This fall they are launching a new StuMo to the University of Wyoming. Their focus is to win lost college students to Christ, establish them in the faith, and equip them to be spiritual leaders so that they can have an impact wherever God takes them after college. The church is built and a basketball court is furnished. They are currently raising money for the mission house and a work shop. ALPHA CHRISTIAN CHILDREN'S HOME
The Lord led Jack and Anne Snavely, founders of Alpha Christian Children's Home, through many circumstances, to children's ministry. They established a Christian home in Kansas for at-risk, needy, and homeless children in the early 1970s. They began receiving children in 1972. Later an additional 165 acres was purchased for expansion. Children are placed at Alpha due to many types of problems including past or ongoing abuse, homelessness, neglect, death in the family, delinquency, academic difficulty, behavioral problems resulting from broken or dysfunctional homes, poverty, family incarceration, substance abuse and temporary shelter needs. The array of issues and needs that the children may have to deal with in their young lives can seem endless. Usually Alpha will have up to ten children to love unconditionally and care for depending on the individual situations involved.
Manhattan Christian College
Manhattan Christian College was founded in 1927 as a four-year undergraduate institution of higher education. Originally named Kansas Bible College, it received it original charter from the State of Kansas in 1929 under the name Christian Workers University. The campus was purposefully located in the center of Manhattan, Kansas directly across the street from Kansas State Agricultural College, now Kansas State University.
